I always recycle my bottles Esme, it's too wasteful not to, despite my OTT vaping spending habits, I'm really quite a tight wad at heart. Even the ones that I can't get rid of a flavour, get labelled and set aside for the next time I make a batch of that particular one. If you do have a complete glut though, it's worth advertising them on the Classies for the cost of your postage say, with all the budding mixers we have now, I'm sure you'd have some takers.

When mine are empty I give them a really good run under the tap a few times, then I fill them with water and leave them to stand for a day. The next day I rinse them out again and have a sniff to see that the odour from the previous juice has gone. I find it always seem to work though. But if ever it doesn't I might give them one more day before throwing them. I can almost guarantee you will constantly be buying bottles though, because I am pretty sure most of us have bottles standing around with stuff that we will probably never vape sitting in them. And be prepared to start getting exited when a new variety of bottle lands on your doorstep and the phrase "I have to get more of these ones" becomes part of your everyday phrases. Ditto! Also, a rinse out with some vodka will help remove more stubborn smells too (since i use vodka in all my mixed anyway to dilute the VG).

I think I posted somewhere,
I am still toying with the idea of offering a discount scheme for empty bottles, but the cost of setting it up and operating it is prohibitive at present, an admin nightmare...
However, it is not a definite “No” just yet..... I am still thinking about it.
