I also cracked up in more ways than one Hanow - when someone threw a bucket of ice cold water over me - it sort of made the jelly I was covered in set

Lol, it wasn't that wild Jerry - honest I did used to be a lady Mummer though Now that might b something else I need to explain to folks across the pond. Mummers plays are traditionally performed by men only - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mummers_PlayI used to run & help out running, a few folk clubs in Sussex. I also often got dragged in (pun sort of intended ) to stand in on Mummers play rehersals so me & a few other females that often helped out formed Hells Belles - a ladies Mummers group. That got me & the others into trouble in more ways than one For starters, we all received death threats from some traditionalist Then on several occasions I had to be rescued from male members of the audience after being "slain" & then on one occasion a car stopped within just an inch of my head while performing the play in a pub car park Over the years, we did raise a heck of a lot for various local charities though

If that is what she's willing to tell us, Hanow, it makes me shudder to think of what she isn't telling us.

(((Jerry)))) Lol it was so out of character for me as I've always been mainly a jeans & t-shirt kind of girl. But it was fun vamping the old mummers plays up (we did mainly stick to the old scripts) & over the time troupe was together, we did raise a heck of a lot for charity.
