I'm far too busy getting crumbs out of my keyboard to put my mind to such trifles > In other words, I would like to know what is motivating you Chrissie - besides itchy fingers, or "I can and so I must" syndrome scylla xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Uh, we do pay you big bucks, don't we ?? Er no Not a bean. Apart of course from the lovely folks (including Jerry) that have helped me out paying Proboards to keep the forum ad free Scylla, it's not just itchy fingers - honest On the home page it so often shows a chat thread as being the last updated post to the right of the general "e-cig/vaping discussions" board. Anyone just wanting to talk about e-cigs could be put off for instance by my ramblings about my cats On the other hand, I think the social side of any forum is very important

I have to agree with you, Chrissie (no surprise there), that the social side is important. Perhaps there could be a Social forum, on the main page, below "links to other forums". The lounge to be included in the social forum. Members could be encouraged to set up their own social groups, in that section, similar to the ECF's social groups. I know that this is a small forum, compared to the ECF, but members with similar interests, would have a place to congregate with other members with the same interests. Just my two cents worth.

For me, social groups would be a step too far. Threads can accommodate "interests". I have to admit that I fear us getting so big that I don't know everyone and would find it difficult (or more difficult than now) to keep up. I love our current intimacy. scylla

I have to agree with you Scyl, I love the intimacy here, too. Some of my American friends wonder why I joined a UK forum. If they came here, they would see why. I don't think we will ever get too big, as the ECF draws most of the vapers. Still, though, consider that if we had a social group forum, with, for example, a thread for those who use mods, or who live in Scotland, etc. it would be easier to find those threads, rather than having them spread out over the entire forum. I'm just brainstorming, Scyl. Chrissie may reject all of my suggestions.

Scylla, I know I keep harping on about the use of the "New Topics" tab. But it is the best way of keeping up with the latest threads. It puts all the updated threads on one page I know if I go on ECf I browse via a similar facility by clicking on new posts.

The Lounge has now been moved to the new "Community" section - just below the buying & selling category.
If anyone would like a new board or social group to be set up under "community" let me know. I can create all member groups, member plus guest groups or even limited member groups.
