I’ve read on several occasions Vodka being used in many recipes and was wondering if other spirits can be use, not the spooky ones but Rum, whiskey and Gin.

Vodka is used as a tasteless thinning agent for VG juice rather than as a recipe flavour

Its primary use is for thinning the vg and not for flavour, considered one of the purer alcohols without going to isopropanol (sp) yuk, although it does add a tiny bit of flavouring all of the alcohol is lost through dilution and the vaping temperatures

As has been said above, vodka can be used as a fairly tasteless dilutant. If you want a whiskey, rum or gin taste, this is best achieved (IMO) by using whiskey, rum or gin flavour concentrates. The real stuff is best kept for drinking...
