Part I... I got waaay ahead of myself and decided to clean out my lovely Vivi Nova. Having seen videos of how easy this thing is to dismantle and clean, in context of having various flavours to savour and only one Vivi, well, it'd be a shame to mix them right? SO said brain, clean that thing out and fill it up!
Seemed ok, it was all a bit wet after serial lavage of the bits, padding with bog roll, and my special (TM) added effect blowing a hairdryer into the tube but... I think something went wrong. My batteries started to stop powering it up, and in fact, they were blinking then stopping altogether.
Oh noes, I had a short circuit somewhere. That's what my electronics knowledge (ca 1980s) indicated. So out with the hairdryer again.
But now, well done noobie, I'd managed to heat up the plaggy tube so it has virtually fused with the bottom of the metal case. Dismantling is now out, they appear to have melded into a plastic/metal seal tighter than the proverbial gnat's chuff.
Surprisingly it still vapes. However batteries (1000mah) last about 20 minutes. And its warm, not hot (not it's like the centre of the sun, care of Alan Partridge) but warm as in the heat from a pet's coat stroked lovingly in summer outside during a balmy summer's day.
Cliffnotes : I've ordered another Vivi as I think I've destroyed this one. Don't do what I did at home kids!

The batteries, that's a strange situation. When one started blinking and then wouldn't respond, I plugged it into the charger (which went red, so errr charging) and about an hour later was charged up again. Tried it with the bog standard ego atomiser, and away it went happily. So short circuiting? The battery never got hot on my 'customised' Nova, so I hope that it's not a goner.

You aren't the first and you won't be the last Dave, although boiling water is more often the culprit than the hairdryer

Also Alvoram, tho I'm a Nottingham lad, your pic of 'I wouldn't say I was the best manager in the country, but I'm in the top one' meets with my wholehearted approval

I did wash em under the cold tap, gingerly especially the tiny plastic top which has a metal bit in it. I suspect though that I may have messed up later, connected the thing to a battery and subjected it to current until I could see the core grow red. (the video made me do it honest guv)

I have to admit that the thought of boiling atty heads to clean a stubborn juice out of them has never appealed to me for the same reasoning! Well, we live and learn, and that's the joy of this forum - there will be hundreds of vapers putting down their (wife's) hairdryers now, as a result of your post!

If you had a short circuit,it sounds like you actually melted the rubber grommet separating the two wires,it will probably be fine with another head

Thanks alanfinal Swapped out the 1.8 head (waah lost the low ohm one) for the 2. something middle one. Took a bit of doing, as I say the base is fused into the metal - so it doesn't leak! small mercies - and stuck it on top of an ego twist. Now the room is filling with vapour again from this setup!

Agreed, was in a taxi the other week discussing this, and Brian himself, remembering when he was retired and used to pop in behind the counter at the newsagents in west bridgford, fond memories of the reds back then, not so much now though That is about as far as my football knowledge now goes, no longer follow nor have much of an interest, apart from the odd look at the league table to see how they're not getting on as for your vivi - don't forget you get all the spares separately for it, so all is not lost! Rinse water should be hand hot not scolding hot, and even on my visions I use a hobby hot gun, far hotter than a hair dryer to dry things off! Not had any issues - lessons learned for you, but pop over to Vape Escape, grab some spares and you're sorted Alright duck

As we say in Nottingham, 'ayer goter onyer or ayer lefter at tom'? (Is your wife with you or at home?) Cluggie is God round Notts/Derbyshire, no dispute. I ordered two (2) novas when mine started to go bad, it's a paranoia thing. Two jacvapours, two ego Ts, two ego twists. One battery on charge permanently (though under guard, seen the vids where people say an overcharged battery can go BOOM). Little bro is about to be the beneficary of my overindulgence (O level English me) and get a free ego T. His last text, he was a bit let down with his ecig purchase and 'smoking again'. Computer says no. Got to take care of the kid brother!

I went to the same school as Nigel, Woodlands in Allestree / Quarndon were they lived, Although I obviously wasn't there at the same time lol. Brian is obviously A very popular person both ends of the 52, and his achievements with 2 small clubs, as they were when he joined, cannot be denied. But he was never going to get the job, because of his unwillingness to conform, as far as I can make out. A real shame Sent from my GT-I9300 using proboards

That's very true about Brian, alvoram. There's a vid on the net about when he was interviewed about the England job, and when he came out of the interview said to the press that if he got the job he'd make the FA do what he wanted them to, which went down like a lead balloon with the stuffed shirts on the committee. Howard Wilkinson got the job. Howard who?
