Right, I have been wondering why do we have so many different Ohm's to choose from with attys and VV's which we need to set higher or lower so we dont blow them or to make them work. Surely, there must be some kind of pattern eg a 1.8ohm attys perfect vaping voltage should be 3.9v and a 3.0ohm should be 4.9v but they will both give the same amount of vapour and heat so why bother? Why not just make 1.6ohm attys which we can all use at bang on 3.7v which our batteries are designed to be run at in the 1st place? Or even, make a 1.0ohm atty to be run at 3.2v (guess) on the vv's? I've been vaping for over 4 months now and learnt a lot (this been the newest thing) after vaping my 2.8ohm atty at 4.8v and realising there is no difference in vaping a 1.8ohm at 3.9v The thing I want to know is, would a 1.6ohm atty @ 3.7v use the same battery power as the 2.8ohm atty @ 4.8v? Bloody electronics.

The quick answer to your last question is no... the higher the voltage, the faster your battery drains For more detailed info, see this threadEdit to add link

5v at 3 ohms is a much better flavour experience than at 3.2v & 1.6 ohms. There's a lot down to personal preference.

That's interesting, I don't think I experiment with voltage and resistance of coils enough. I just use whatever coil resistance I have, then change the volts to suit me. I have noted that the higher the voltage, the quicker the battery goes down.

Yup it is Womble to that end i have far far more 3 ohm cartos than 2 ohm or even 1.6 ohm not only do i seem to get better flavour out of them - there's a lot more range on them so if i'm feeling it's just not hitting the spot i can crank it up more without it tasting burnt or burning my lips off

I really don't like using the 1.8 heads, hot, burney, yukky What are you using them on Pam - if it's an unregulated battery ie the Riva then it'll kick out 4.2v on a fresh charged battery for the start of a 1.8ohm could probably use a little less voltage than that to begin with until it's suitable gunked up a bit

Hi Warlord. Using a twist at it's lowest or the gripper at 3v same result with both of them, very unpleasant red hot burnt fumes that make me choke and the wicks are defo wet too.

its all down to personal preference and then also down to device or juice preference
usually a higher resistant atty will have more coils and so have a greater surface area to vapourise the juice
