Long wicks vs Short wicks

So what is the difference between the long wicks and the short wicks?
Apart from the length of the wick that is

Which one is better?
Why? and so on....

The long wicks tend to wick a bit better, not as much swooshing to avoid dry hits

I much prefer the short socks

Its a lot less dry burning to change flavour

I dont think it really matters how long the wicks are. Some claim either are better.

Short wicks seem to taste better to me but It may be all smoke and mirrors.
