Got the Poxy Postie's Red Card Of Death this morning for the penelope...........
Good reason for missing it though. Had to take the missus to hospital at 3am this morning - she was having bad braxton hicks and back pain. Turns out she may have a urine infection too. She is fine now though......sleeping it off while I have to work - good times. Didn't get back until 10:30am to the dreaded sight of the PPRCOD......first delivery I've missed at this address and I don't even know where the sorting office is lol. Google mapping it.....

((((((Benny))))) sorry you missed your delivery. Glad your wife is feeling better now.
I think you may have to wait 24 hours to pick up the delivery as the postie will still be carrying it on his rounds

It is certainly worth trying to call them though. I've managed to get a package the same days as the red card. I think they all close at 1pm each day though. Otherwise it will probably be Monday.
My sorting office used to try and redeliver the package the next day if you didn't get in touch. Not any more though. If I don't collect it or call them to ask for a re-delivery, they send it back to the sender.

I * think * that the sorting office will hold a parcel for 7 days before returning to the Sender, that's what mine does. But these sorting offices do seem to interpret the ' rules ' very differently. Good news Benny on the Penelope front.

Well, I'm pretty fortunate. It says to leave it 5 hours and the place closes at 6:30pm, so more than enough time. Never had any issues before, but that is when I get things delivered to my mums. They live in greater london area so it's quite busy. Usually have to wait behind at least 5 or 6 people there. Not a country bumpkin, and the town I live in is very close to london, so it's still pretty busy

Goodness, you are fortunate Benny . . . our parcel collection ends at 2pm and you have to leave it until the following day to collect your goodies.

Right, got me Penelope, gave it a bath, wired up a coil and checked it with a "borrowed" fluke meter from work - 2.0 ohms, filled it up with Red USA Mix and BLAM!! It's the dogs b@llocks!! Now I actually know what "throat hit" means LoL!!!! I can't believe how good it tastes.......I'm speechless. Compared to the Mini Nova and the T2, which I've tried the Red USA Mix in today, it's miles apart. I'm finding it hard to put it down, honestly. Just want to say a big thanks to Blakey, whose tutorial I followed, mixed in with Scotts youtube vid. After reading all the posts on here about it, I was expecting trouble. I should have more faith in myself ha ha. Boy, it was worth the money! I've got 4 ceramics in total, a decent amount of wire and wick. I can see this romance exploding
