..am I a bad neighbour?

Really not great at the moment, drained, dilapidated, depressed, desperate, my alliteration gets blown if say lonely .........so, watched a bit iPlayer, put some washing on, watched a bit more of iPlayer - keep checking forum - not sure what I was expecting or was I waiting for a PM - even peeked at Facebook - then got bored, iPlayer again? ???

Must point out I'm upstairs, in a semi-detached house........anyway, have been living next door to an empty house - not any more

I'm quiet, don't really make a squeak, I've listened to drilling (bad word to use), banging - (oh cripes this is now ridiculous) (shelves and things to point out - doors opening and closing, the usual furniture clatter etc. The dog, and the funny whines it makes and they coax it on, they must think it's trying to talk or something lovely dog mind!

So....silence, then the silence was broken, the dog again, no, wait a second, that wasn't a dog, oh no, please, no, oh no no, oh ruddy hell, noooo, but yes, next doors son was giving his other half a happy ...........winamp - music, loud - better - .................

...........It was Halestorm at the time, then I couldn't help it, and well, I am equipped upstairs and down to make a loud enough sound, wasn't too loud, would not get complaints from it - but I played this.............





So my rational head kicks in, it's normal - I would have probably taken the opportunity at that age if my folks were out for the evening........it's normal, it's natural - but my ears sooooooo didn't want to hear that! Bad to hear, bad, very bad.

I want sound proofing, or a detached house! A space craft, a boat! A spheroid and a battery mod might be nice, a free trip to france (an agenda there) a lottery win, a friend, - for now though, just music at an acceptable drown out volume.

They might not have noticed, probably would have heard though

Been about 8 years since I've lived in a semi- and well those neighbours were known for 20 years or so

....on the other hand, and bringing out the stereotypical bloke in me - fair cop to him!

could be he is not aware his rumpy pumpy is going through the wall
and once mentioned he maybe a little embarrassed enough to get some sellotape for her

saying that he may well call you a perv for listening so you cant win really

i am lucky that my neighbour tells us when they go away and if their son has a party i am to tell them but he just invites me to the said party

My neighbours used to bang like a belt fed motor, until I could stand it no longer, I swear they waited for me to turn my lights off, I took a pillow round one day and asked him to put it behind his headboard, must have worked as they moved to the other bedroom in the house, I didnt care, I was sleeping better.

Skwoddy you just cracked me up. Tim I actually think your solution was much more sensible than going round or shouting through walls, but if it continues a quiet word with him when he's not with her or his mates might be prudent. They're teenagers and tbh probably haven't even considered they can be heard they have other things on their mind!!!

Not actually met them yet - saw earlier today the father tried to drive his car off a pair of ramps had my lads over, and my eldest was like "daddy look, he's going to crash" - I looked at him driving up and slipping down, and then went to take a run up - he backed out at the last second though, was going to be half tempted to offer a pair of axle stands

They seem nice enough, can't say I was too impressed with their lads rear window sticker in his little boy racer (if it ain't blue it just won't do (New Holland) Being a total tractor snob - John Deere all the way -

Still something I didn't want to hear, or wanted to listen to, currently I guess I must sound like some spooky halloween night with my current playlist

If keeps up any longer gonna have to suspect drugs, or am I just out of touch with the yooof of today -
