OK Sarah, your Tornado tank will do fine for starters, though I suspect that in the long run you'll want something that holds more juice. You should be able to taste your concoctions by taking the cartridge off your Tornado, dripping a couple of drops straight onto the mesh in the atomiser, add an empty cartridge and vape. Menthol is very easy and cheap to make. There is a thread here www.liberty-flights.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1016.0 which has all sorts of good info, including how to make menthol. Menthol is a strong taste - start by just adding a couple of drops to something else to see the effect. I'd start by making a few flavours - not mixing flavours, just mixing PG and VG and nic and one flavour. I'd try flavours other than tobacco. What sort of flavours do you fancy? Whilst agreeing with most of what Giles has said, I should point out that if it is a Tornado Tank, it will be difficult to drip as the atty has a spike to penetrate the tank and feed the atty.

Thanks for the hellos and for all the advice. What a lovely bunch you are! Roger, yeah you're right, there's no mesh in the atty (see, picking up the jargon already), just a spike. I've got a few tanks though so Giles' tip should work if I want to try something before making a larger batch - and thanks for the link to the mixing kits. Thanks to the mods for pointing out the eGo 510 - that'll save me even more cash. Yay! Lots to look at. I'll start writing out my shopping list.

Hi & welcome Sarah I would take the advice and look for something better to stick on the battery, the tornado/Ego Tanks are notorious for really muting the flavours and making everything taste of plastic A lot of peeps like the Vivi Novas or, better sized for the battery a Mini Nova. They have changable heads so are easy to clean/change.

Welcome Sarah. Good luck to you with your e-cig/vaping plan. I wouldn't sweat too much about using liquid with nicotine in short term. Cutting down is easier with vaping if you want to do that. Going up is also easy too, just depends on your state of mind.
