Ok, so the coffin mod went well, and everyone loves it from what I've heard, so I thought I would try something a little more conventional. So this time I went for a 2oz tobacco tin, and used the same components as I used for the coffin mod, so a twin 18650 VV setup, but in this case, enough extra space to take a pair of mini vivi novas, or it will hold a 10ml bottle of juice etc

the display makes all the difference, having VV is great, as long as you can see what voltage you are using I'm already getting started on my next tin, which will be a single 18650 VV in a 1oz tin, with luck, that will be ready tomorrow evening, if not I will get it done sunday.

The display will read from 2.8v and the batteries can kick out up to 8.1V (which is great as they are rated at 3.7v each ) I tend to vape at about 8watts, so it tends to get used most between 3.5v and 5v as most of my attys at the moment are between 1.8ohm and 3ohm.

That is a stacked battery mod..
So take some basic precautions and keep the battery as a pair, check them both every time after you charge to make sure the voltages are the same and drill some holes in the tin on either side where the batteries are located
I hope you have used a fuse of some kind too..

Macca the boards have under-current, short and thermal protection built in - It's the same one the lovely Garry Dibley tested out

As warlord says, it is a fully protected board I've used, chosen specifically for that reason, as I'm not wanting to risk anything. Warlord was kind enough to go through everything with me when I built the coffin mod, and explained the pros and cons of using the vv board, and the separate component route. I am the kinda guy who looks into everything before starting a project, as I don't like getting nasty surprises along the way
