Just really asking for a bit of advice. I am dead happy with my Tornado/Riva set up but I have a birthday soon and I am looking arround for something to treat myself with. I have read such great things about the GDPS and thought I might get one. The only thing Im worried about is if it makes me crazy for bigger better harder things and I no longer find my 510s satsifying. I do spend a good few hours a day by a PC but at work I am not officed based and do a lot of traveling by car. So I still need a portable option and I do like what I have now. Is this daft? I am worried I will like it too much. So any advice? Or other suggestions for a birthday treat?

Wotsit, are you using LR atties on your Torniva? If you are, then IMHO, you won't notice too much difference between that and a passthrough as the LR atties simulate 5v vaping and the PT should be actual 5v vaping. I like my Stick while I'm at the laptop and the other kit when on the move. With the pt, don't have to worry about batteries or whether the batt will die when I walk out of the house as I haven't been using it. HTH... Sean

Thanks Perpy A hub? Is that to avoid pluggling it into a computer?
Thanks Sean I use cartos from TW, the prefilled ones that I refill. I think that they might be a bit more powerful than a regular atty but not LR. *shrug* dont know though but I thinl I read that somewhere.
So its a go-er then?

when i smoked i never smoked in the house its always been in the kitchen (im a decorator and it saves the walls and ceiling) so im used to doing the same thing whilst vaping. passthroughs are great if you get a 2A USB plug for the car (ive advertised them within the forum) but strangley ive not bought one as the attraction for me just isnt their. may i suggest tank atomisers and tank carts for your birthday and add to what you already have and make that a better experience, you wont regret it

Thanks camperman I bought two Tank atties a while ago and dont like them. It took days for the taste of the primer to go and then left no taste what so ever. I dont like the weak draw either :0( Thing is I really really wanted them towork as well as I can really see the advantages but it didnt. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or the system doesnt work for me.

with mine i just gave them a good blow through first and they worked fine but it does take a few hours to get the best out of them, i do tend to take longer draws so the throat hit was fine and i used some of the TWs DV range of juice and the flavour was awsome. other things i could suggest are bigger tornado batterys or maybe even buy a screwdriver or a reo grand another thing that you wouldnt regret.

The tank atty's do take a couple of days to get going I found Wot . . . although I do love my GDPT, I've got it set up in the lounge with the hub . . . I absolutely wouldn't run it off the computer. Although as Camper & Sean have said, if you get a bigger battery mod with a LR atomiser, the vaping experience is very similar . . .

Hmm such good feedback ) I have it in the cart and my finger is hovering. One other daft question though, what do you use with it? I mean can I still use my regular cartos or will I have to get other atties and carts??

If you use it at 5v Wot, you'll need standard resistance atomisers/cartos . . . as 5v's will either blow LR's or they won't last you long at all.
It's a 510 fitting Raggy, but works just as well with an 510 to 901 adaptor, which you'll get in that bundle . . . I did wonder that after I'd posted . . . want me to get you one, then forward it on to you as LF is the only Vendor GD sells the PT's through.

I couldn't agree more with Perpy The GD Passthru used with that mains USB hub is fantastic - no batteries needed Both the hub & the PT have fairly long leads so I just sit with mine slung over the back of the sofa
