Oh yeah baby, the joy is deep, GGts with an 18650, i found it works better with a charged battery and the Aga T with Cocomel in, not my fave juice but works in this, clouds of vapour, had a bit of an issue with the adjustable center pin, it had come out of the plastic in the top section and didn't want to go back through, but a bit of persuasion and it went back. Jeez this thing is big now 22.4 cm to be exact with a ming drip tip, £210 of e'cig including battery, it had better be good, special thanks to Lunerdog for giving me the GG, Ok i bought it off him Ps, it works much better with the kick, um'd and ah'd for a while befor ordering it, but so far so good, wait out.

I wanna post here, I bought a Kick in anticipation of receiving a GG from Imeo, This didnt happen as you all know, So while I waited to source another GG I bought A Silver bullet from Onedayill quit, I was initially blown away at what a Kick could do for a mech mod, 8 watts of great power regardless of coil. Then, I was lucky to acquire two GGTS (Thanks again Luner) and an oddy, They were recieved one week apart, One through the post and one when I descended on redcar for a piss up (vapemeet), The one I recieved through the post worked flawlessly although I made a few newbie GG errors (noalox is a big no no with GGTS), I took the heavily abused GG to Luners place to get sorted out, I had no joy with the kick in it atall (noalox causing misfires), So after a good oddy and GGTS training session with Luner and making 1.5 ohm coils both for the oddy and the penny, I discovered much to my amazement that the None kicked ggts left the Kicked GGTS in the shade. 4.2v freshly charged battery over a 1.5 ohm coil, dleivers 11.76 Watts, almost 2 more than a kick could put out. My aim is not to say Kicks are bad, quite the reverse, They are very good and I aim to keep mine for another mod for use with 2.ohm cartos and such. They are also very good at giving the same power throughout the charge state of the battery, All I wanted to point out was that they arent atall necessary, A non kicked GGTS with a 1.5ohm or even 1.3ohm if you can stand it will knock spots of a 10 watt kicked GGTS. Not too hard to replace a battery once it starts falling to undesirable levels. I know there are aficionados of kicked ggts and will want to flame this, but Ive seen and tested the differences, If you have a Genesis and cant be too arsed about what ohm coil you make then the kick is perfect. Its a great toy, but im less impressed than I initially was. my tuppence worth, flame away. Edit to add a chart and explanation for your pleasure www.discountvapers.com/resistances/

skwoddy, the coil i made was 1 ohm at first it's now up to 1.5, it was unvapable at first, the thing is you can't turn the battery down if the coil is very low, i was getting mega throat hit, and couldn't take a proper drag on it. It's got much better as the ohm's have risen and was usable without the kick, I just find it better with, I've just checked it's set at 8 ohms now and works like a dream. As per the chart a 1.5 coil with a 4.2 battery gives 11.76 watts and falls into the, blow your head off category, imagine what it was like at 1 ohm, where as setting the kick at 8 ohms is perfectly vapable

Yeah, Agree, 8 watts is my preferred heat on many juices and I love the way that the kick does all the maths and work for me if I cant be bothered making a coil to suit. My problem is I want the best but sometimes cant be arsed and I do use the kick, But just to clarify my point that a kick isnt necessary. That was my only aim. I wondered why people go to the lengths of squeezing a double or even triple coil into a penny and pushing 7.4 volts through it when the same wattage can be achieved using 4.2 volts, either that or they have asbestos lined throats That 1ohm must have gotten your attention though, I didnt realise because of the title of your thread that you were using it to tone down a vape and were rather using it to boost a vape, the kick works in both situations, Gunking will increase the ohms of your coil hence the ohm increase to 1.5. I think we both raise very valid points, My aim wasnt to come across as disagreeing with you, more to straighten out the kicks necessity. or not.

I vape at 2ohms 4v or 8w, the kick is a perfect add on for me, it allows me a little lattitude in my coil making and corrects any differences so that any coil give or take half an ohm either side of 2 ohm will perform the same and just as importantly the kick will regulate the power from the battery and maintain it till it has depleted. I rarely vape below 1.9ohms because unless you are vaping tobacco flavours or menthol , I find that the flavour sours. Very low resistance is great for tobacco flavours though. On an un-kicked GGTS at 2ohms I will be changing batteries every 2-3hours to maintain the vaping experience as opposed to 6-7 hours with the kick because once an unregulated battery falls below 3.7v its pretty much useless to me. That's my 50p worth of input and my justification for just purchasing a spare kick

When I first started I made my own coils coming in at around 2.5 ohms to 3 ohms. My ggts wasn't enough umff. The kick transformed it. With Imeos pre made wires my coils come in at 1.3 ohms.I noticed my kick wasn't required. But I still use my kick, with those pre made wires. Set at 7 and a half watts. I've no idea what that means with regard to powering up (or down? ) conserving battery etc. Or if I've fround a false swent spot. But I guess I won't burn the house down and will have consistent power with whatever atty I put ontop? I'm currently on gordys old paps, ;Dkick at 7 and a half watts. Innokin cartos at 1.4 ohms. Gvc and is bliss. Now I'll check out kwoddys graph and see if it tells Me anything.

I had a quick look at the graph. It doesn't go down to 1.3 or 1.2 ohms. And that's where my premade coils come in at. I can see where my home made coils bring me in at. Very handy to know.
