VG versus PG.

I started off with ciggie look a likes in PG. They gave me a sore throat so i bought an EGO and used VG,this made my chest wheeze. Went back to PG a few days ago. This is over a 5 week period. At first i preferred VG for the amount of vapor but now im leaning towards PG as it simulates smoking better. Also i believe my wheezy chest stems from the enormous amount of vapor produced by VG. I'm just going to start mixing my own juice and will try a 50/50 mix. Hopefully this will prevent a sore throat and reduce the chesty wheeze. To be honest i had neither a sore throat or chest wheeze when i was smoking 10 roll ups per day. Vaping is very addictive and its all to easy to chain vape. That is probably the culprit. However i will persevere as its still better than smoking, and i really enjoy vaping.

PG is VERY drying,and will give you a sore throat if you vape a lot at high concentrations,but some like that hard throat hit.The chesty wheeze could also be the crud starting to move about in your lungs as you stopped poisoning the lining with over 4000 toxic gases.One thing you could try is have a go on a Variable Voltage device.With that you can tailor the voltage that vapourises the juice so you get the best vaping experience.All juices ARE not the same and some need lower voltages and some need higher voltages.Witht eh standard Ego setup youre stuck on one voltage.

I'm having a bit of a PG vs VG problem at the moment too,

The juices I've always vaped mostly have been 70/30 PG/VG and I'm ok with that, the PG can make me a bit itchy, but that got a lot better after a few months.

One of my new favourite juices which I'm vaping most of the day is a 50/50 mix, I love the extra vapour but the extra VG is making me really phlegmy really dislike almost sounding like a smoker again by constantly clearing my throat, but I don't want to give up this juice, haven't come to a decision as to what I'm going to do yet, hoping maybe my body will adjust to the extra VG and the phlegm will settle down, but as you say it's gotta be better than smoking

DOH!So it does!I also some times get a lot of Phlegm,i am assuming that its the crud i deposited in my lungs from years of smoking.Some days its worse than others,but its certainly better than when i was smoking!

I know that for me it's been caused by the extra VG as I had already gone through the clearing process ages ago and this new phlegm coincided with increased VG

I had outrageous wheezing in the early days of vaping. Never had it on the fags.

It's gone now. I think I've just got used to it (the PG/VG). ???

I've noticed I produce more phlegm with vg too. It's not the same as smokers phlegm (yellow / green / brown sometimes with bits of red)
this is just clear made from slimey foam which has got to be better for you lol
