whilst im on me soap box BT telephone line rental, how much did/does a line cost too put in Around five years ago it used to cost a utility company approx £350 each time an engineer went out to an address.

We don't pay for water over here, thankfully Still, it does sound there is something wrong with the meter. Unless you have a pool, fish tank, jacuzzi that are all getting frequent water changes

I'm glad i live in Scotland only pay 50 quid a year seriously? have you checked your last Council Tax/Water Bill? We stay in a very modest house and pay nearly £200 a year for water/sewage! Still a bargain mind compared with England!

mine not on a water meter is about 440, might enquire about a meter, it's not like we need to water the garden anymore is it? Just did the calculator= no real saving >

1500 litres a day is about right, I measured our a few years back and over a week we used roughtly 1300 a day for 3 of us. Apparently, the average daily usage is around 150 (not 1500) litres per person. If you're using 1300 a day between 3, that's about three times what the average person uses.
