Hello again! I got my first clearo during the week and I'm loving it. It's been topped up a couple times, and I've been enjoying the mixture of the bananas & cream and choccy nutty fantastic that resulted (I'm running low on both so figured it would be a good mix - it is!) but now I want to change flavours. Firstly, how far can I run down the juice that's in there? I'd hate to waste anything this yummy, but don't want to burn out my clearo. As long as the wick's still got juice on it can I keep on vaping? Then, do I just rinse in warm water til the wick's clean? I want to buy some more as I know the CE4 I have won't last forever, and now I've tried one I won't be going back to the tanks! I'm putting in an order with Exhale for a guy at work (see my other thread on advice about juice for him), so figured I might as well look at what they have and save a bit on postage. They've got a 5-for-3 offer on CE4's, or they have CE5's on a good discount. Thinking I'll probably go for the CE5's as they're rebuildable (and they come in pretty colours!), but do you reckon it's worth buying some 'spares' for them at the same time? 3 coils for a fiver. How long do the coils usually last? Thanks in advance for the help. Still a newbie! 3 weeks yesterday and I haven't even thought about having a stinky! StS

sarah i personally found the ce4 more reliable than the ce5,but having said that bought a cheap batch of ce4 which were poor copies and lasted only a day or so each, id try geting them from person who sold you the one your happy with there alot of naff ones out there! i clean with warm water and vigorous shaking but some really strong flavours are hard to get out,so tend to have 3 on the go with my favourites in

Definitely buy spare coils/wicks, as you'll need them at some stage so you might as well save on two lots of postage.

I'm still using one CE5 that I got back at the beginning of September and another from the beginning of October. I clean them out religiously every weekend and have only changed the head on one of them after 2 months.
With care and maintenance you can get them to last longer than you'd think (considering they're a "disposable" item).

Thanks for the help so far! How about finishing off what's in there? Do I keep going until the wicks are almost dry, or will that burn out the coil? Ta! StS

Yes you will. Don't forget to give them a dry burn after you clean them.

My experience with clearos is getting better.
I never run them even close to empty and I swoosh/tilt a lot.
I empty them (into a carto-condom), wash the whole unit and dry burn the gunk off the coil. This 10 minute job is well worth it. Not one of my collection sees more than a few ml before they get this treatment. I do it as soon as their is any drop in flavour (or the vapour gets harsher).
My mini vivi novas are the best for time between wick/coil burning. The V3 visions (rainbow from VapeEscape) are the worst.

Oh, actually.... ???
are CE4s the "fixed base" units where you can't change the head?
If so, I hate them with a passion. I killed my VE (from the Riva kit) one in under 48 hours. I like the fully disassembling ones.

Rebuildables all the way for me. I clean them every few days, warm to hot water, leave them soak fora couple of minutes, dry with kitchen towel, and then a quick dry burn, wash dry and repeat. I have now got 3 clearos on rotation, and have only changed the heads once each in over 6 weeks of vaping. Bargain!! I have just ordered some 1.8ohm heads as I want more flavour from my juices, rather than sticking with the 2.4ohm as supplied. Liberty Flights do the genuine article, and I'm sure there are other vendors out there with similar. Personally I rate them very highly compared to the 'disposable' clearos, but then I've not tried the VV Nova which everyone raves about yet! Best of luck, and go for a reputable vendor!

Some ce4s are rebuildable. The v3s are the kind of new ones. Make sure you get the proper vision ones. The copy's are crap.

I'm working my way up to 5 or 6 in permanent rotation to suit my fickle taste in juices.

I got a couple of interesting ones with my innoken MVP kit, they have a double wick which leaves four wicks hanging down. And they are very good.

Thanks for the replies! I've ordered a couple of CE5s (one pink, one purple) and some spare coils/wicks. After Christmas, once I'm used to using the clearos and rebuilding them, I might treat myself to a lovely Vivi NOva STVs - just take a look at its loveliness: www.vapeescape.co.uk/vision-vivi-nova-stv~463And then I might look into dripping. But one thing at a time for now!

You might as well ask Santa to bring you one, as they're essentially just bigger clearos than what you're already using, so you'll already know how to replace the heads.
