I received today a 3.5ml nova stv kit and a mini nova kit. In total they included 6 atomizer heads from a uk vendor.
Excitedly i put the stv on the vamo to check it's resistance....7 ohms....hmmmm
ok got one of the other heads out and fitted it to the nova..5.4ohms....hmmmm
This went on for all 6 heads, resistance from 5 ohms up to 9..
So i dug out my mulitmeter to check for shorts on the nova assembly ( positive to negative pins ) and that was fine. I even attached to heads to the mini nova assembly with the same results.
Checked each heads resistance with the mulitmeter and all where way off 5ohms up to 20 ohms or so..they where all shorting.
Now, I know the Chinese QC isnt the best but seriously this was ridiculous...
After a marathon recoiling stint I've managed to get them all into the working 1.8-2.2 ohm range ( though the resistance markings on them are moot now)
but what are the odds of that......

Wouldn't a short mean a lower resistance? Electricity travelling the path of least resistance and all that...
Still... That is really unlucky, you should definitely let the vendor know before somebody with little or no ability to fix the problem ends up with the same thing.

100% being me , that's probably about right Wouldn't a short mean a lower resistance? Electricity travelling the path of least resistance and all that... Still... That is really unlucky, you should definitely let the vendor know before somebody with little or no ability to fix the problem ends up with the same thing. I'm no leccy just assuming they where shorting. when i moved the coil about in the head the resistance would drop a bit, a bit more wiggling the coil holding the wicks it would change again so just assumed the coil was shorting on the heads casing. but yeah thinking about it , it could have been a case of the coil tails not making good contact with either the positive or negative side of the head. yeah , I have let the vendor know he might have a dodgy batch.
