thinking of selling, and smoke again

after 5 wks of the vape experiance, think im going to go back to role ups , just cant get on with these liquids only found one that i like, and feel im slowly going off of that one.
had a new liquid arive today which had a rave review , to me it tasted like marmite >, getting realy fed up of it now, im looking in my draw i have about 20 different flavours what a waste of money, and I cant say oooh ill sit and enjoy that one cuz there isnt one I can enjoy, im begining to feal all these reviews on e liquids are not as true as they sound as everybody has different tastes. just dont know what to do its getting me down. really want to pack up the smokes ive really well so far, but i feel all this vape lark is becoming a waste of money if there are no liquids I like and would rather have a nice relaxing smoke. im gasping for a relaxing vape but i cant find one... sorry for the rant

Sorry to hear of your struggle Bomber. Thing is though you have cracked the hardest part, ie the first 4-5 weeks. I can understand your frustration, it took me a long time to find the juice I liked. I would have thought a lot of it could be to do with your taste buds. Mine took ages to settle down and would often go AWOL altogether.
I'm no expert but I'm sure others that are, will be able to offer some help shortly. What juice is it that you do like?

Don't beat yourself up about it, you've tried, you know you can do it, and you know you will try it again and no doubt succeed in quitting the fags. Whether it be cold turkey or through vaping again, the next time it'll be easier.

The only thing I can suggest is mixing them. I didn't like anything much either, but I played around with the flavours I had until I found something I liked. My taste buds have changed now and I'm liking more things than I did at the beginning so its getting better.

So for instance if you think you don't like the baccy flavours but might if it had caramel in (say) start there. It's only a thought and you never know it might work

I discovered I liked dekang RY4 from vapour world, but only if it was mixed with the dekang toffee (also from vapourworld) but only if the latter had been left in a drawer for a fortnight.
I obviously found this out by accident but its become my daily vape and the thing which stopped me hitting the tobacco again

Sorry you're having such a hard time finding something you really like Rather than pack it in altogether though, why not trade or sell the juices you're not happy with and maybe have another go at some new ones when you feel like it. Don't know how many times you've tried to quit smoking, but it took me at least 10 tries - maybe you're just not quite ready yet.

The flavour thing is difficult because we all have different tastes. Some get lucky and find something quickly and for others it takes a bit longer. Don't give up on it completely yet, give yourself a break and come back to it when you're feeling less fed up.

Although I have found some juices which are ok, I'm very disillusioned with the whole review thing.
Everyone raves about a juice, I think oooh I'll give it a go and its just ok. Not the amazing taste experience I've read about. Maybe I'm expecting too much
Now I'm happy if I find one that doesnt make me wanna heave. But I know they dont taste as disgusting as a fag so I'm sticking with it. Perhaps if you stopped searching for the elusive "one" then you can stick with it

Hi Bomber. I know how you must be feeling just now. I stopped with the `stinkies`, 12 weeks ago, being a 30 a day roll up man.
It took me 8-10 weeks to find a vape that I enjoy. I thought it would be a tobacco tasting juice I needed, but I was wrong I found that the fruit juices were more to my liking. I even enjoy GVC as a relaxing vape. Don`t go back , you`ve done the hardest part in stopping smoking those `stinkies. Is there a vendor near to where you live, visit them try some different flavours, they will certainly allow you to sample their juices, if not a vendor, does a forum member live close by, link up with them, try some of their juices, they may have atty`s or dippers, you have not tried, which could give you a perfect vaping experience. YOU`VE DONE THE HARD TIMES.
Give our suggestions a try, you will be delighted when you get "That vape", and you will never regret that other `mile` you are about to travel.

Try thinking about what flavours you do like, mint or strawberry etc.... That may help you close in on something you really like.

As others have said sell/swap or trade the juices you don't like to minimise the financial impact.

Try and get along to a vape meet or go to a B&M shop where you can try some liquids or find someone that lives near to you meet up for a pint or a cuppa and swap some juices.

yes twinklet , ive gone by some of these liquid reviews , i sit next to the front door waiting for it to arive and when it does i end up in the bathroom swigging the mouth wash, or it tastes like mouth wash, i did find a tobacco flavour that i liked but ive just gone off of it i shudder when i think of the taste now.im stuck with g.v&c at the mo but slowly going off it i vape it to much, think im just going to just try somthing like a nig patch and try just to stop .

2 years in almost I still haven't found the perfect vape , I find a vape that lasts me a few weeks then my tasters go awol , the fact is if your not yet ready to go full time vaping then you are just not ready . You are now aware there is an alternative and should you really want to make the switch permanently then you just have to wait for the right time in YOUR mind to be able to do so , good luck in your choices .


Edit: To add your taste buds go awol on a regular basis , depending I guess on how many you smoked and the strength of what you smoked ... I abused mine for over 35 years and at my peak when I decided to switch to vaping I was on 60 ish a day .
So I try to switch flavours where I can but my main stay is a very strong diy menthol

HI bomber, if you really don't want to continue, then don't but if there's a little bit of you that does want to, then try some of the above suggestions. Although I bet if you try a fag now you won't like the flavour of that either! Maybe worth trying one just to see how horrible they do taste!!! As has been suggested swap some of your juices on the classifieds. Maybe you'd do better not to read the reviews but to go for something you fancy. If you go for a fruit/pudding etc flavour then go for something you enjoy the taste of Irl. Also have you tried menthol? If you can find one of those you like a few drops of menthol can really improve the taste of juices you don't like.

Bomber have you tried just simple fruit flavours?
When I started vaping I though it has to be tobacco flavoured or I just won't enjoy it but when it arrived ewwwwww smell of sweat and nuts didn't do much for me (sorry but that's what they smell like to me) So I ordered some plain simple fruit flavours strawberry and pineapple were my favourites for a while then lychee became my all day vape but I still dabble with other liquids and do enjoy a wide variety of liquids now but that is almost 9 months for me and I suppose my tastebuds have changed. My other half only vapes mint's and cherry he doesn't enjoy any of the others and he has tried most of the ones I've had.
Sometimes it's best to go back to basics and not try the fancier stuff as it often leads to disappointment.
