Anyone got any recommendations for freeware to convert video files and to burn to DVD format?
(Am running Windows 7 and want to spend money on vaping, not software)

+1 for convertx... although it's been a while since I did that kind of thing and you used to have to pay for the full version.

2 recommends ... have downloaded it ... will see if the trial version can get me through an emergency ... likely put a tidemark on the video and cut the audio after 3 minutes.
Thanks guys

Been on a mac for a while but when I used windoze apps that had been ported to run from a usb drive often had any inconveniences removed. There were quite a few blogs that linked to downloads. One whose name I happen to remember is this: portableappz.blogspot.co.uk/

+1 for Convertx, I have some others you can try too, remind me to put them on a disc for you if the others don't fit the bill.

I use DVD Flick. Free, simple to use and comes with imageburn program to burn to disc after converting.
