Something I hadn't though of though - although you don't need to rinse Milton sterilised kit (unlike most other sterilisers) it may be wise to do so. I shouldn't think it vapes very well Message received and understood.

I also bought some blue glass bottles, not for any other reason than that they look pretty. Sometimes I think I'm a little too in touch with my feminine side. I'm so pleased you succumbed to the lure of those blue glass bottles Moonie.

I'm so pleased you succumbed to the lure of those blue glass bottles Moonie. I couldn't help myself, they looked lovely on their site and I'll try to find a use for them. I wanted some glass dropper bottles with pipettes in blue as well but they didn't have the sizes I wanted, which was most disappointing, so I had to get amber ones instead. I'll have to take the pics on my worktop when they arrive as my windowsill isn't big enough for everything, but hey ho.

I still have 1 x 100ml bottle left out of the 2 I bought from PM in, when was it, November? I've just put in an order for another 2 and will probably buy 2 a month for the next few months. They come in blue glass bottles with child proof caps, wrapped in bubble wrap and sealed in a strong plastic wrapper. My intention is to store them as they come, bubble wrap and all, in a small lockable tool box in the bottom of my deep freeze. The idea being that the kids won't be able to open the box, and shaking it won't break the bottles. Does this seem like a good plan to you more knowledgable peeps, or should I do something else? bought mine from pm and stored as you have minus the locked box(my child is 20 so hopefully wont drink it )

I'm more worried about one of them breaking a bottle and getting it all over themselves, which would be far more dangerous than drinking it, especially for my 3 year old.

Another storage question - can I store ready-made liquid in the freezer as well, and if so for how long? There are lots of juices I'm unable to recreate at home (although I am going to have a bash at getting as close as possible, I already have one I might be posting a recipe for soon). I'd like to buy large bottles of these as funds allow, for long-term storage. Would it be best to freeze these in glass (thus needing to decant them and running the risk of contamination) or as they come? I'm not too worried about the nic levels reducing over time, but I don't want plasticizers leaching from the bottles into the juice.

I'd go with glass Dizzi, better to be safe . . . and if it's flavoured, the flavouring could leech into the plastic bottle as well over time. Look forward to having a recipe or two from you.

I've ordered a batch of 25 60ml glass bottles from Ampulla - I figured that's a better size for freezing as I'll only have to defrost smaller quantities. Bit more than I intended spending (£16 inc postage) but I'm quite clumsy so even allowing for breakages these'll last me forever!

Hi Sarah, The way I see it, 100ml of 54mg nic juice lasts me for 5 x 50ml mixes, but the shelf life of e-juices is well over two years and if I am vaping between 3.5 and 4ml a day, 100ml of made up juice will only last me a month, if that.
At the moment I am making up my mixes in 30ml bottles but I would like to go onto 50ml as two would do me the month and it is easier, once I have settled on a recipe that I like, to mix larger amounts than smaller.

I could see that'd be better for you, yeah. I'm about to start my first load of mixing so I plan on trying smaller batches of different flavours, 10ml of each. I like to have different flavours on the go to keep it interesting. My plan is to slowly reduce the nic content in my juices, but I'll see how that goes! I've ordered 500ml 75mg nic juice, so figured the 60ml bottles will probably work out better for me. And if reducing the nic works I won't have to buy any more. Fingers crossed! Each to their own though. And Ampulla's a great find! Some of the more decorative bottles would look great on a shelf with some coloured liquid in them. I was tempted to add some to my order but I've got nowhere to put them!

All my 75mg juice is in the freezer and I am, at present, using the 54mg that came from Post Modern. I still have enough made up to do me until March and I would guess that I have enough nic base to keep me in juices until after the summer. Only then will I start using the 75mg.
Although I am on 20 or 30mg, I am going to invest in some Spheroid attys and then I will be able to drastically reduce both the strength and the flavour amounts without losing any anything from the vape. However, these are hard to come by at the moment.

I've got most of mine and my friend's freezer stocks into glass bottles now, just waiting on an Ampulla delivery tomorrow, then I can finish off. It's been quite a satisfying exercise.

Hubby only really likes the ready made old holborn from Vapour World so to reiterate, if I put it in glass bottles, it will be ok to freeze? So do the bottles need to be metal topped or plastic or doesn't it matter? Thanks

It will be fine frozen Comfrey . . . I've gone for plastic topped bottles, to be safe, just incase something in the metal tops reacts with nicotine/freezing . . . no point going to the bother glass decanting and then having a metal reaction of some sort was my thinking.

Thanks Perps We want to store nicotine in one shape or form in large enough quantities to last a couple of years. So as I'm the one with the most interest in the actual makings and mechanics of the whole thing, I guess I'm also going to be the one who will have to start mixing. He'll be my biggest critic no doubt
