This may turn out to be be me being blind, stupid or both, but I've got a prob with a Riva battery that I can't figure out. Bought our daughter a Riva kit for Christmas. She's delighted with it and can't believe the difference from her cig-a-like. However, I can't seem to get one of the batteries to fire. Have tried it with everything I've got - cartos, clearos, 306 atty etc and nothing happens. Unfortunately I don't have a multimeter or similar to test it. I've had a look at, and lifted, the centre pin on the battery as I know they can occasionally sink down too far to make a proper connection, but no joy. The odd thing is, the battery light comes on fine when I press it, but nothing seems to happen. Am I missing something blindingly obvious or is it just not going to work? The other one works perfectly btw Cheers in advance for any clues

If you tried lifting the center pin and it still does not work but the button lights up then one of the wires must have lost contact..It's usually the wire at the top where it is grounded through the top cap which sometimes snaps just with the weight of the battery inside..
If it is brand new, I would suggest you contact the supplier for a replacement..

Can't think of anything you could be missing myself (though others will hopefully do so). You could just have a duff battery & unless anyone else can help, IMHO, I'd get in touch with the vendor you bought the kit from

Thanks for that macca and Chrissie. Just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something obvious (wouldn't be the first time) Apart from that it's great - she hasn't had a cig all day
