As we just bought a new super duper smart 3d tv for downstairs we moved the old 37"er up to our bedroom, bought a cheap freeview box and plugged in the arial that's in the bedroom, and ran a scan for channels, no joy picked up nothing, so cahanged the connector on the end fiddled about a bit, quite enjoyed that bit, but no could not get it to work So tonight i thought i'd give it another go, removed the proper no worky arial lead plugged in an arial extension lead and straightened out the hook on a wire coat hanger and inserted it firmly into the female end The man from Freeview he say yes so then i had to find somewhere to put it (watch it Gordy) i found a good spot for it but was still missing bbc channels, so i added another coat hanger rescanned and bingo all channels and all watchable, what do ya reckon, eh brill innit?

I remember having a set up like that Blue when I was a kid (not so long ago) when the indoor ariel in my bedroom got broken and it worked better than the one we had before it broke

Lol, i must admit it was a bit hit and miss befor i hung, sorry strategically placed the second booster coat hanger, I'm now googling jobs for ariel installers lol.

I would go nuts if Mr Dolly did that. I can't bear seeing cables all over the place let alone coat hangers on the curtains LOL!!

Dolly i'm sure it's only temporary, but I had to check it would work befor buying a new arial.
So folks going by the above do you reckon a normal indoor arial would work, i mean it should do it just getting it in the right place, and if so any reccomendations for a suitable arial?

Looks like you live in a strong signal area. Double check it here by plugging your postcode in..

Then buy a good indoor aerial which has adequate signal amplification circuit in the Boxing Day Sales..
