Mine came with a 3 month warranty against manufacturer defects, so maybe worth getting in touch with vendor to see about a replacement?

i had a vamo and it lasted around a month . it had a constant "Lo" message on the screen(without the v or ohm symbol)
i stripped it down to its components and could not find any thing wrong with it
i then separated the 2 circuit boards cleaned a few solder points up put the board back together rigged it to a battery and it was working again
i put it back together and it still worked
i never found the problem!!
i have now got rid of it !! gave it away actually as i cant be doin with unreliable stuff

I would put some 99 % IPA in it and swish it around and it should be fine..
