I've been looking at this ... undecided ... would like a telescope mech mod but there are forums in the US who rave about the UDT ... you can put a kick in it

its a "chip" you put in a mech mod. Allows you to vary the wattage from the battery so you can adjust the power to the atty. Mech mods will always drop in power as the battery drains unlike electronic regulated VV/VW mods which attempt to compensate to give you consistency. You would have to put this mod in 18650 mode but use presumably a smaller (18500) battery to fit it in. Always worth checking that mods are kickable in case you ever invest later.

am tempted to buy this mod but am saving for a GP Spheroid ... might be a bit shameful to stick one one of these on one of those

It's the same manufacturer who makes the aga-t..It's a decent mod and they make a fair few mech mods including a telescopic one and one with a kick extension.
