When i owned my own business many moons ago, due to the nature of it I didn't have a Christmas or new year off for nearly 10yrs so i know how you feel Booblay.

I am currently waiting to see the Sydney fireworks on Sky news in half an hour. I used to love going to that.

Wishing I could stay in. Not in the mood and not feeling well enough for this evening. But that'd upset my mum way too much, so I'll go be the dutiful daughter, and secretly dream of being tucked up in bed. The last few new years have been good as it's meant leaving the previous year behind, a new start, a promise this year will be better. Well this time I'm taking 2012's health issues with me, and have given up believing things will get better. On the plus side however, 13 is my lucky number and the year Chris and I will get married-so still some positives to look forward to!! Just hope next year doesn@ go as quickly as this year has with all the planning we have to do!!!

I just love the countryside in France. We honeymooned there. Drove from Calais right down to Monaco.

Dolly, that is the beauty of France, the differences as you drive down through.
Although you wouldn't like it around here at the mo, the wind is blowing a hooley (we had a poplar tree blow down a few days ago), the garden is flooded & the roads are starting to flood too.

I only got back home from Liverpool last night and I'm totally shattered so I will curl up on the sofa with a bottle of bubbly, nibbles and catch up on programmes recorded from last week and try and stay awake until mid-night to see in the New Year
