Hello All, Can any of you GGTS users provide a pic of the unit disassembled, but in line as it would go together please. Also, does this beast need an adapter as I don't have any atties that will screw directly on to it (in fact, I can't even figure out how they would screw on due to the centre post on the GGTS)? Sean, which version of the GGTS have you got? Not sure if you have bought new or from classified somewhere.
The centre post on my version (& I presume newer versions as well) is moveable/adjustable.

Brilliant It came with a tiny threaded 901 adapter & I use that all the time. Lol, in fact I've just removed it for the first time in yonks, to remind me what the original connection is - & a 510 carto fits it without the adapter. From memory, this version GGTS came out when 510 cartos where all (latest new) rave. So I think the attie cap was designed with them in mind. Let me go & see if I can find some of the old vids demonstrating it - i may be gone some time Basically though, you need to pull the pin right back (from the inside of the cap) screw on your 510 attie & then gently push the pin back in till snug. |

Yes hun, it's a standard 510 connection (I didn't notice the internal thread at first!). Yep - all apart first thing this morning. I provided the ignorance and Geoff came in with the brute force! Sometimes his big paws are useful! The cap has sacrificed one thread coil but it goes back together ok and is currently sitting on my desk, stuffed full of 18650 goodness. Sean |

I'm grinning from ear to ear Sean Sounds so much like our lovely, kind, generous Lynda has found the perfect home for her GG It's also so good to hear a craftsman like yourself praise the GGTS I just wish Imeo would go back to making this version. OK, I know lots of folks on ECF just keep pushing him for more updates, but to me this version is, as you say, a beautiful piece of engineering & a work of art |
