Invest in a second charger, as the result of failure is most definitely not pretty!

In the wee small hours, I was talking to a friend via Skype & she sort of went into a tailspin cos her batteries (so she thought) were failing. I suggested she checked her charger, sadly, it was that. She was stuffed like a Chrimbo turkey & it wasn't a pretty sight, as it was her only one. It was about 8pm NYE where she was & with NYD today, there was no chance sorting one straightaway. Luckily the local gas station sells disposables & will get her through until her order for TWO chargers arrives, but still....

Almost got caught out by a dodgy charger, straight after that bought a couple and now keep them in different places ie one in kitchen where I normally charge up, one in the car as during the day if out or at work the car's never far away and a spare just in case

I have 2 eGo chargers and, like stewarty, keep one at home and one in the car. As well as that I have my Xtar for my mod batts, which lives at home but could plug into the car charger port if needed.
I am maybe lucky but haven't lost a charger yet (famous last words!), but am covered for something to vape either way.

Andylec- they are only about a fiver, and will get full use sooner or later! Can't just pop down to the corner shop for another one if your only charger fails!

It's worth remembering.

I've "protected" myself by using a number of batteries that are charged with different chargers and/or they are just a battery (18350/18650).

In the early days, a dead 420mah riva/ego charger would have meant resorting to an 808PCC kit.... ???

and if that failed.....E-Lites......roll ups?

Totally agree Andy, same goes for all the basic kit, batteries, carts, liquids etc any one of them could go pear shaped regardless of how new or well looked after they are..... always better to have a couple spare cause you will always use them at some point in the future.... probably when you least expect it!!!

I am proof of that... my works christmas night out I managed to loose my one and only Ego between the pub and the taxi!!! blind panic is an understatement!!

By sheer luck I had ordered more kit because of the dodgy charger a couple of days before and it arrived the next morning but until the postie arrived I can assure you I was hyper lol

I've just recieved my new charger the old one has gone in to back up mode lol it's a bit hit and miss with charging anyway so needed a new one

Further to my friend's sorry happening. Lastnight we Skyped again & her chargers hadn't arrived, the disposable she'd bought (that mentioned it was the equivalent to a pack of 20 cigs or some such crap) lasted 15mins!! So I sat & watched her smoke three cigs. They tasted awful & gave her a headache, so she doesn't ever want one again. I so hope those chargers have arrived today.

What's said on here is sooooooo true. You need back-ups then some back-ups also some back-ups a few more back-ups etc.....
