Are those crystals or liquid Skwoddy? I thought that Perps, but the description has it at a solid that is soluble. Physical state: colourless solid Melting Point: 77–78 oC Solubility: soluble in organic solvents

Hi all, seems this bug is catching First time mixing for me so just trying to get all the required ingredients together - personally I blame Froggy and Grant in equal quantities, about a 50/50 mix lol. Many thanks for all the tips - will let you know how it turns out once froggy gets back from his untimely break and I can order my vanilla custard, bless him. Just a quick question for Perpetua's recipe, do I need the french vanilla and the vanillin? Thanks

You don't need both really Mags . . . TPA's French Vanilla Deluxe and a sweetner of some description will do the job nicely for you.

I made 2 apple pie and custard mixes yesterday morning, both identical, except one used DV apple pie, and the other used Capella apple pie... and they both smell amazing, they've been steeping almost 36 hours now only 132 hours to go... it's so hard resisting btw, I think the DV apple pie mix smells the best at the minute, will be interesting to see which one turns out to taste the best.

As stated i mixed some VC about 5 days ago. Tried it today, lovely, really nice and mellow. My mix.......3ml/54mg vg , 4ml pg , 2.5ml of CCW custard , .25ml of Very Vanilla from LF and 3 drops of ethyl maltol. I daresay it will improve with further steeping. I only tried it early as i have just mixed another 10ml using the same recipe but using Capella VC and French Vanilla. Will give it a week to steep then i can compare the two. But to be honest the CCW mix will take some beating.

They are Bomber . . . I'd happily send you a couple of samples, but I don't know if I could cope with failure, if you don't like them.

Hi Perpy,
I have just made a start on mixing your PVC and would like to use VG. So I have put in 5ml. 54 mg VG, 1.5ml plain VG and 3ml. Capella VC flavouring.....I am awaiting TPA French Vanilla Deluxe and Ethyl Maltol Crystals from Ecwizard.
I presume I willl end up with 27mg nic?
My question is what effect will this much VG have on the overall flavour and will I end up with 65%vg/35%pg or do I not count the flavours as part of the overall VG/PG ratio.
Will I need less sweetener due to the higher % of VG.
I have played with a bit of flavouring in the past but only single flavours without much success. I hadn't thought out the technicalities of using more complex recipes, and I am really pleased that so many people are happy to share their recipe secrets on here, which takes out the guesswork for us noob vaping chemists.
Thanks for any advice.

Greigster the flavours are PG based so you have to count them as PG in your calculations
