I was given this and have changed the language from Chinese to English yet some items are still in Chinese,can i change this or do i simply have to uninstall them,the problem being i don't know what they are for with being Chinese.

What OS is it running?
You might be better upgrading the firmware with a full English version.
That way, it will remove anything which is not needed, override anything which is needed with it's English version
