I am going to go down the mechanical mod route and add something a bit special to my collection.
I really like the idea of adding a kick, but wonder why they get such bad press on the forums. After a bit of "googling"the general feeling is they are "not very good"
What are peoples thoughts / experiences?

I am going to go down the mechanical mod route and add something a bit special to my collection. I really like the idea of adding a kick, but wonder why they get such bad press on the forums. After a bit of "googling"the general feeling is they are "not very good" What are peoples thoughts / experiences? My ggts would be useless without a kick TBH The kick was designed to provide vw & regulated power to peoples mods in answer to the lava tubes and provaris. The people that claim that they're useless are the ones that vape outside of the kicks power range, those that feel the need to run .8ohm coils on the genny atties are a typical example -the kick can't cope and is therefor rubbish I'm not knocking these people in their vaping needs, far from it- just because I don't like to vape like that certainly doesn't make it wrong. But to brand something as rubbish because it can't cope with extreme power needs is wrong. You find the same things in the genesis vs fiber wick debates, some say fiber wicks are rubbish because THEY prefer mesh and viceversa, some exceptional devices get trashed by these people because it doesn't meet their particular requirements and they have no interest in the general needs of the average vaper when the offer their opinions. For the general user that runs a coil from 1.6ohms up to 3ohms the kick is a great device. I have a kick from the very first batch in my ggts, it's set to provide 4v through a 2ohm coil which is 8w in power, I haven't touched the settings in months and it hasn't put a foot wrong in all the time I've had it. Regulated power, battery protection and VW like you find in vamos and darwins for me was a godsend. I liked it so much I bought another for my GP Paps and I have one spare. For me the GGTS is a beautifully crafted mod and I enjoy using it but if there was no kick then that mod would be in the drawer collecting dust So, if you want to get away from the mainstream vamos and lavatubes and want one of those special looking mods that you've had your eye on but want it to perform like a vamo then the kick is for you. If you want to run high voltage through a low resistance coil then the kick will be useless to you.

Would the kick fit and work with this, cheers guys. If it's the same internal diameter as the standard argento then the answer will be not without modification. The tube in the argento is too wide and the spring on the side of the kick that needs to make contact with the wall of the mod won't reach. I got round this by using a metal sleeve inside the argento for the kick to sit in.
