Seriously now. This is my first forray into vaping. I ordered the VE Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit and Old Holborn juice (50ml 18mg) from OK Smokey.

I'm also trying to work out how long the juice will last. I've searched these forums, and I'm still no wiser. I know it depends on how much one vapes, but maybe someone could give some ballpark figures. Hopefully that'll give me an idea as to when I should order juices.

Hope you like your new kit I tend to be vaping about 2-3ml a day, but everyone is diffrent i guess. One thing this forum wll teach you is, you can never have enough juice and always have a back-up for your back-up!

I'd say roughly 3ml to 5ml a day maybe more when you first start vaping

Doc put the rollies away and give vaping a shot, you will not look at them rollies again. How long will the juice last, good question and everyone will have a different answer as most people use more than one juice daily, but to hazard a guess i used to smoke about 30 rollies daily and i'd say 20ml of juice lasts between one and two weeks, hope this helps Doc.

Don't just sit there looking at it (like I did ) get it going and start vaping and keep the rollies as a stand by
Don't expect it to taste the same as your baccy, just look at it as changing brands

I make sure I've always got a few bottles lying around (currently about six unopened and a dozen or so open), plus ordered another half dozen today.
Like spare batteries and chargers, you can never have too much.

Congrats on your new kit
Firstly, don't beat yourself up if you continue smoking alongside vaping. Many people make a gradual transition. Some never fully give up smoking. The thing to do is to count the fags you don't smoke, not the ones you do.
Secondly, 3-5ml seems like an average for a newbie. Make sure you have plenty of juice so you don't get forced back onto the fags against your will

Hi Doc. Just make a note each day of how much you are using,when you get down to 25ml you will have a better idea of how much to order and how long it will last. You cannot have too much juice, especially if you like it.

Good to see you're in a position to commit, at least you can do it at your own pace, I would advise only that you don't buy juice in 50 ml bottles unless you know you like it or it will get very expensive, also, if it's not to your liking put it away in a dark place with the lid off for a week, almost all eliquids improve over time.

Doc, the batteries come with a factory charge, so you can use one straight away while fully charging the other.

You then need to fill a cartomiser like this -



Or if you want to try the clearomiser first, you fill it like this -



Next you need to switch on the battery by clicking it 3 times. Then you need to hold down the button while taking a drag - simples

Also bear in mind that it's slightly different to smoking, try holding the vapour in your mouth for a second before inhaling, otherwise you could end up having a coughing fit

Just give it a bash mate, you've got nothing to lose really. The juice will probably last you a bit, depending on your usage. I only got through about 2mls a day, until I got some gear that used juice quicker. Have a go with the vaping alongside smoking at first, see how that goes for you.
