I am using a min nova and have been for a month or two now. I seem to have a leak coming from underneath. I have tried washing everying out and dry burning, making sure things are screwed in propper, then yesterday I even put a new head on in case that was the problem, all to no avail as it still seems to be leaking. I put everything back together and I can hear gurgling, Ive blown it through onto tissue but still the same. Im wondering now if mini novas have a lifespan and mine has to come to end?

my Vivi nova, month old, started leaking. What fixed it for me was to gently push the centre post out, clean and reinsert. If you look down the bottom post, there is a sunken metal "button" in the centre. If you give that a nudge, it will pop out the bottom. There should be a silicon seal with it. That may have come misaligned (I dropped mine).
if it doesn't work, you can always use that post to make a Maryoid (Toddoid)

Mary if you remove the head and look down the centre tube where the head screws into, you can see the top of a metal post. Use something to give that a push and it will come out of the bottom. The rest is as Ash says above.
If you search the forums (and probably Google) for "Toddoid" you can find Todd's instructions for making one. If you make one, as you are called Mary and not Todd, yours would be a "Mary-oid"!

The thing with these type of rebuildables is that there's only 3 ways juice can get usually into the centre tube (other than obviously by accidentally dripping juice down there as you fill). The first is at the point where the atty head screws onto the centre tube. Check the O ring and make sure it's screwed on tight. The top cap can sometimes catch on the atty head and unscrew the atty a bit as you remove the head, so check that the head is tight each time you take the top cap off. The second is at the point where the top cap presses down on the atty head to make a seal, check that the top cap is screwed on tight. The third is at the point where the wicks exit the centre tube. Check that the little silicone 'top hat' is seated firmly on top of the head to minimise this gap
I hope this helps

Is the centre tube straight, if not then when you put the top cap on it will not make a seal.

Mary I hope you can fix it. But if you can't, these things are 'consumables' at the end of the day and if you've had a month or more from it you haven't done badly

Thanks Violet and oneday, im still trying to sort this but in the meantime have sent for a new one. What is the difference if any between the mini nova and the vision viva nova, they both look to me like they are the same size ...........is it that one is smoked in colour and the other clear?

The mini nova is more slender and holds about 2ml of juice the vivi nova is wider and holds 3.5ml altho I think it's more like 3ml Mary.
