Pissing me off

It's shorting, am getting E1 errors on the Provari and I am about to throw the damn thing away.

Have cleaned the base have adjusted the screws have had enough it.

Got the V1 base out of retirement so at least that is good

Oh and anyone know where I can get a spring for the GG Stealth and that melted when trying the V2 base

Lisa, am sure others can advise you better since I am a spheroid novice but we could have a mini-spheroid workshop/cryalong in the pub on saturday if you like ?

Dismantle the base, (it has an opposite thread) and tighten up the nuts inside, that's most likely the cause

Done that already Blakey no joy, think I may order a spares set from vapourart

have you tried it on another mod to be sure it's the spheroid causing the error ? as you know by taking it apart there isn't much to them that can go wrong other than loose connections or bust isolators.

Yep tried it on the stealth hence the melted spring. Had enough of it today so will try again tomorrow

The only thing that is going to collapse your spring is a short, Either the positive terminal within the 510 connector is grounding or you coil is touching the center tube

Most likely the posi insulator has been damaged and is shorting like blakey says..

Best way to test is to put just the base without a coil on a electronic mod like a Provari/Vamo/Zmax etc and fire to confirm..

Dismantle the base again and check that one of them nuts has a nylon/delrin insulating washer under it, if that's compromised then it'll short out on the body.
If you notice, the positive terminal nut sits lower because of the insulator and makes contact with the center of the base and the negative has no insulator and sits higher so it can't touch the base. A good chance that is where your problem lies.

Yep think it is the insulators, have ordered a spares set from vapist so fingers crossed it will be sorted

I'm certain that'll resolve it. And thanks, I didn't know he had the spares packs in stock. I now have a couple heading my way too
