Zapper - Res/No-Res wire welder

After seeing how popular the camera flash board welders are I've decided to make and supply them to anyone wanting their own Zapper.
The Zapper is a mini welder used to join Resistant Wires and None Resistant Wires together for use in certain Atomisers such as the GG Odysseus and Penelope.
I'm sure you've seen the video review Todd did of the Tsaf made by Diver, if not I suggest checking it out and this is the same principal.

The box as a power switch, a button to charge and two alligator clips one of which is fastened to a post and the other is on a lead and plugs in.There are no settings to change voltage/charge, the way it works is the longer you hold the button the more charge is created, depending on what wires you use will determine how much charge is needed. For example I personally use .2 Nickel and .2 Kanthal and holding the charge button 2/3 seconds I've found to be a good charge.

One wire is held in the fixed alligator clip and another in the free clip, you then hold the button to charge and touched the two wires together slightly over-lapping, you see a bit of a flash and a pop as the power welds the wires and that's it your wires are joined.
Once you get the hang of it and stop jumping a mile when it flashes you'll be zapping your own pre-made wires in no time at all.



Warning I must add to be very careful while using these boxes as a full charge (button held for 8 secs) can max out @ 330 volts and will hurt like a bugger if you zap yourself, after you've welded a wire I suggest that before touching the wire to check for any residual charge by touching the too clips together, then as long as the button isn't pressed it's safe to handle the wires and clips.


Tried to keep price as low as possible so asking £25 + £2.70 Postage, Paypal only and would prefer you use the Paypal Gift option but understand if you'd rather not.

My I suggest Mev, that you also include a set of instructions for using this device and also include on it some ' cautions' - to protect yourself if nothing else.

That is if you haven't already thought of doing so.

Just 1 x AA battery. Incuded.

Instructions are for wimps. I'll learn by zapping myself
