I've shifted big items on 'preloved' before, in fact I sold my scooter off there I think. But it's a hassle and you can't put loads of piccies, doubt second hand clothes would make a big hit. I've always found that clothes go well on eBay especially if you have names people want. I like to trawl car boots for Karen Millen as it nearly always makes good money, eBay, I've found is the best place to get the best price

You could get yourself a website and sell through that or strike a deal with Froggy and/or Jason

For anything non ecig related use GUMTREE.
I buy and sell on gumtree and make a fair bit for spending money (vaping money). Ok maybe different, I buy mobile phones and laptops and PCs and sell them for profit on there but it is good old cash in hand. That is because I am a techno man, love my technology and love buying it to restore it (maybe different generation) but I make about £200/£500 a month extra doing it and thoroughly enjoy it as technology is right up my street.
Give it a go, you can sell ANYTHING but guns/drugs/smokes/ECIGS(unfortunatly) you get the picture

I've sold things on gumtree before, but have found buyers always haggle about the price. So now I add 5-10% more on than what I want for whatever it is! How did they buy your wire Dee when you'd blocked them? That's not on. I used to sell loads on feebay until they brought in the 'no negs. for buyers' rule some years ago, for the exact reason/situation you've just been put in. It's not right or fair.

I haven't got a clue how they managed to buy the same day I added them to my block list! I've left lovely feedback for them and their wire is on the way, let's just hope they are genuine!

Dee, dunno how ebay get's away with stuff like this > it's put me off selling. Please, just wanted to add that even if you get a neg f/b, it's always the follow up f/b i'd check. If a seller can manage to state facts and remain polite(in so few words) after a neg that counts for something great.

It's really off putting for decent sellers when unscrupulous buyers can treat them however they please, but it can work both ways. I recently bought something and received an email from the seller before I received it asking for positive feedback and 5 x 5 DSR's, plus this: (c & p)
Did You Know? If a seller receives a few Detailed Seller Ratings of less than 5 stars Then they will be significantly penalised? The Internet Merchants Association wants you to know this before you leave feedback. You may think that 4 stars is reasonable but eBay`s feedback system treats anything less than 5 stars as sub-standard & penalises sellers for DSR ratings that average under 4.80.
I've received the item now, but haven't left any feedback - yet. I'm still thinking what to put ....

Encouraging buyers to leave 5 stars is against eBays rules now. The revised DSRs are a nightmare though, over the last 9 years I have had several businesses that have used eBay for selling and have a 37,000+ positive feedback. September last year one person bought several items and left poor ratings for each one as they didn't understand the item descriptions properly. eBay restricted my selling limits to a few items a month, not enough to improve my DSRs, resulting in a complete ban from selling. After months of phone calls, even some from the buyer retracting their poor feedback, I am still to this day unable to sell on eBay even with 37,000 happy customers. >
