Hi Sy and welcome #7261_9485#
Really well done on quitting the cigs. I also tried the patches and they did nothing for me either. I'm 5 months cig free and my breathing is definitely a lot better.
Keep up the good work! #icon_thumbsup#

Hi Sy, All good advice above, but if you are just starting on e-cigs, could I suggest on you just concentrating on having the tools and juice to see you through the day from getting up in the morning, to going to bed at night.
I bought a kit that gave me 2 x 1100 batteries, a charger and 3 clearomisers. I bought a third battery so that I could have one battery in use, one full charged s a spare and one on charge if needs be. I had 2 clearomisers with tobacco in them (2 different flavours) and one clearo with Menthol in it to clear my lungs for before bed.
Give yourself a month or two of just getting used to vaping and read as much as you can on the Forum. You will soon enough start spending of things that grab your fancy, but 7 months into vaping and having spent a small fortune, yet my everyday out of the house vaping tools are still the first kit I bought.
So that kit of your, with perhaps a couple of back ups, will do you well for quite a while.

Hi sy, Welcome to the forum sorry about your health scare, others have given you good advice not much more I can add only drink plenty of fluids and vape at whatever satisfies your craving in time you may want to cut down on your nicotine in take. If you have any questions ask away someone will answer them for you, best of luck you've done the hard bit now it gets easier.

your shakes are more likely down to the reduction in nicotine from the fags plus all the other nasties in there, give it a week or so and it should calm down,i started on the 36mg GV after ploughing through 1.2oz a day on rollies if you then feel you can after a while cut the nic down ,but have a spare high mg incase your starting to crave a ciggie you have done the hard part well done, you will get cravings for a while ,the big test is when your in company of that fag smoker lol once you have masterd that your on your way to stay away from it there is a few warnings with vapeing stay away from shiny stuff you will be succumbed lol also dont be afraid to try something different in ejuice taste as for terms attys- atomisers Analouges- ciggies Cart- cartomisers Tanks-- basic you fill with your liquid Rebuildable-- as it says atomisers are completely rebuildable as for throat hit for some its important ,but for me its mainly the vapour and flavour As for better well thats were Variable Volts /Vairiable wattage come in to in play, different battery mods , cheapest some have had problems with them, alot not is the vamo as for your attys well that comes down to personal choice things like Aga T's to Cartomisers - to Tanks most progress into using vivi novas easy rebuildable one of the most common vids to help you out wit h seeing all this is the one and only TODD heres a link to his site for reviews you will get more from there than trying to read a zillion posts lol www.toddsreviews.com/

The shakes may or may not be down to nicoting/vaping/stopping smoking! It's probably something you should mention to your Doctor

I'm so impressed that the smoking cessation nurse told you about vaping Me too! Welcome Sy to our happy family! Others have already advised you well, so I'll not add to that atm, your head must be spinning as it is. I'll offer you something else. I'm just outside Peterborough and although you can get good info off people on here and the net, it's not always enough. If you fancy a face to face conversation and/or a little help, feel free to pop round. I have some bigger mods like the Lavatube and the Provari for you to have a play on.

Hi Sy welcome. Well done for making such a quick swap I hope your health stays improved from now on Me 3! I was a heavy smoker too, now over 2 years later I would like to think that I'll never touch another analogue. You'll soon find your perfect vaping preferences, just takes a little time to find what suits you best. You've found an amazing group here and you'll always have help and advice

Hi sy and welcome to the forum.............. cant offer any other advice other than if you are worried about the shakes........ then see you doc or consultant good to know that your smoking cessation nurse is open to other forms of getting off the cigs rather than just suggesting patches

Patches are all well and good, but they don't wick very well.

Wow, I thank you ALL, so much for all these replies and good advice. I was told that this forum was the best & most friendly and now I can believe it. I would also like to add that I have just found a company that sells branded 100ml bottles of e-liquid for £13.50 !!!! (£14.99 less 10% off). I don't know how cheap this is compared to all the others, but it sounds cheap to me so I have ordered 2 bottles to see how it goes. They have many flavours & for anyone interested, here is the link: www.misteliquid.co.uk/e-liquid-6/100ml-e-liquid-66/If anyone has ordered from them before, perhaps you could let me know if they are any good? Once again, thanks to ALL for helping & encouraging me. Regards, Sy James x

The shakes may or may not be down to nicoting/vaping/stopping smoking! It's probably something you should mention to your Doctor The weird thing about the shakes is that not having had a ciggie for 3 months, I never had shakes for the first 2 months. They ONLY started about 2.5 weeks ago and I haven't changed anything in my vaping, diet, sleep etc. They just started for no apparent reason. My doctor thinks I am just stressed but I am not so sure ! Sy xx

When was the last time your Doc run full bloods? To Karma, My doc has to run bloods every 3 months due to the meds I am on for my heart and lungs. I also have suffered with chronic Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.) for the last 10 years, as well as permanent head, back, leg and foot pain for which I take controlled drugs for pain killers. I also have 2 planter fascias on the arches of both feet (Pretty healthy then!) For all of this, I have to take 29 tablets per day plus 15 hours of oxygen per day every day for the rest of my life. Even after all this, I have never had shakes until 2.5 weeks ago! Just don't get it, but am still worried. Sy xx
