Chat Room

I was just wondering if there is a place on this Big world wide web that is a web chatroom dedicated for vapors???
Either text or webcam?.

Just thought it could be a good thing to have for people to make new friends and chat about general ecig stuff, as we sit on here typing all the time it could be good for people who are comfortable with webchat.

I'll ask Brenda if she knows of one, as she's always on her webcam..............although judging by what she wears ( or more to the point, doesn't wear ) when she's on it, I can only surmise that these chat rooms are kept at a very warm temperature................. .............

I use Skype without a webcam just voice to talk to family it's free and dont have to hold a phone to my ear for an hour when my mum gets on!
You can set up group chats there but if lots of people talking at once can be difficult to hear.

I suggested getting a chat room on here last year. It was shouted down as being a silly idea.

I think its a brilliant idea, one the same as ECR, is it the cost or something that would have been an issue?.

No idea how much it costs to maintain a chatroom.

I wouldn't like to see a chat room here tbh. It changes the way a forum works. Small banter which would be missed if users were offline at the time people were chatting about it on a chat box whereas, with a forum, everything can be dug up and continued once the topic has started.

I've seen it happen before when I was addicted to my car owners club forum.

I agree with Chillers - you miss a lot of stuff.
The normal forum is great for rifling through items you've not caught up on yet and shove your two pebbles into, but a live chat is here, gone and forgotten.

im not a lover of chat rooms or chat boxes ...i love the banter to be here on the forum pages for all to enjoy

I use a few forums that have them and there always a good laugh.

I think banter in a chat room is completely different to banter in a thread. Can't say I've noticed the other forums getting worse because of a chat room. Infact id say there better for it

I agree with chiller and gordy, whilst chaatrooms are fab in the right place I don't think a forum is the right place. It means things get missed and also can make a bit quite cliche as things become "in jokes" and those who have missed out get confused and left behind.
