iTunes/iPhone error

Having a problem that some of you apple minded folks might be able to help me with,

Now how do I explain it??

Went into my App Store to do the usual round of updates you get now and then and I get an error that it cannot connect to iTunes Store, if I click ok and go into my list of apps to update and click update all a box comes up that says account not in this store, your account is not valid for use in the US store, you must switch to the UK store before purchasing,??

As far as I know I haven't switched to any US store, but anyway, I've looked through all the obvious settings and can't find anywhere to change it....

Also went looking for an album to buy and all the prices are listed in dollars?

I'm not having this problem on my iPad, everything there is normal even though it's the same iTunes account, anybody have any idea WTF is going on?

it may be worth logging out and then back in again
Go to "Settings" and select "iTunes and App Stores" then sign out of your Apple ID then try the store again

- go into 'Settings'
- go into 'iTunes & App Stores' (scroll down until you reach it)
- click on 'Apple ID:....' (at the top)
- click on 'View Apple ID' (it'll ask you to key in your Apple ID password)
- enter your Apple ID password
- leave the 'Settings' menu

Using your iPad or iPhone, click the App Store icon.
When in App Store, press Featured tab at the bottom of the screen.
You will see your Apple ID. Press it and a pop up will come on screen
Press View Apple ID and provide your App Store password.
Press View Apple ID and provide your App Store password.
Your ID will get either get switched to the U.S. account or the country where the account was created. Otherwise you will see an option to change the Country/Region.
