Hi today have noticed top part of vamo and my vivi nova are really hot, only got vamo on 3.5w and its hot, normally have it higher without it going hot. Anyone any ideas as to why it's hot, not doing anything any different from normal

The spring wont cause the top to get hot.
I suspect the 510 connector is dirty and causing increased resistance. Clean the connector on the vamo and on the atty, an alcohol wipe is good for this.

I dont think it has been said before, check it is on mode2 as well ie NO2. It can be pretty unpredictable on mode1 (average). Make sure you try a different atty, the way that the coils are wired and connected does leave a bit of scope for a bad/dirty connection.

Try testing the vamo without an atomiser, switch on as if vaping a few times and see it gets warm.

Funny I did check I am on no2 thought I had maybe pressed it while in my hand, but definitely on o2
