If you can I have some anise extract here which is very strong to smell so may try that in some glycerine and distilled/deionised water to see if it works ok.

cheers for the replies guys, I have some anise here that is strong, same manufacturer also picked up some boots glycerin and some De-ionized water today so might make up some zero nic and see how it goes. Am I correct in thinking to start off on around 20% flavour and try it then adjust as necessary? Coffee extract will have to be picked up at the weekend when we are in Chester.

anise is a strong flavour,so less would be better add more if you needed ,same with coffee being an extract, suppose that liquid coffee extract in the supermarket you could use as well save a trip, will be same stuff

Camps coffee? I did wonder about that stuff but its god awful to drink lol. But I suppose if it is no good for our juice my wife can have it for cooking with lol. Thanks for the advise I will go for 10% then and as you say I can always add more.

Mmmm....yum, Camp coffee is great for an iced coffee, not sure I'd want to attempt vaping it though. I'd go with Andy, don't go for the 20% with the anise, with such a strong flavour, start lower. Good luck, hope it proves to be nice juice.

From my home mixing experiments I can say that the % of flavouring you use will depend on the particular flavour. Personally, I start at around 20% and then work my way down if I need to, but working up will probably be just as easy. Generally, I find some of the fruit flavours need a lot less then 20% (still experimenting with watermelon, but looks like 8-10% will be enough). Trying things out and adjusting them if you need to is half the fun of mixing your own though. Just go for it and find out what works for you. I'm lovin this mixing lark, it's great fun!
