Ok so I've gone from a cig a like to a riva, then to a mini nova on the riva battery. Thinking of upgrading as pay day is approaching any ideas? Would like a bit more of a kick when smoking it

For more 'kick' the natural progression would be to variable voltage or variable wattage so you can adjust the power. It used to be that the recommendation was an ego Twist - same form factor as the riva, but vv. Things have moved on, and the most popular next step is probably now the Vamo

The Vamo looks great with a full size (3.5ml) Nova on it Lozzy, especially a stv in various colours.

Hi Lozzy. I have been on the same upgrade path. I started with a riva kit and clearos, then upgraded to an Ego twist vv and vivi nova's. The twist itself is a massive step up in my opinion. With the Twist you need nothing else. It will happily charge on the same charger as your Riva. However i have now ordered a Vamo, alas on the slow boat from China and they're now shut for the hols.So its gonna take a while. The item i ordered was a full kit for around £24 inc the body the battery and the charger and P+P. The charger may be of questionable quality but if youre not happy with it you can always pick up a better one further down the line. Vape Escape, Maplin etc.. You can also get the Vamo from Vape Escape and Charlies Vape shop. The Vamo is a different setup and uses individual batteries and need there own charger. In the UK the actual Vamo body is around £40-50 without the batteries and charger. Apparently the stainless steel is the best option due to the finish on the chrome ones coming off. Is the Vamo a big upgrade on the Twist? Time will tell

Ok I'm a bit overwhelmed again, this is when I realise I'm nearer the beginning than I thought! Do you think it's best to try the twist first?

Well all my upgrades have been in less than one month. I don't regret buying the Twist even though i have ordered the Vamo so soon afterwards. The twist in itself is a great device and you will see a massive improvement.. especially with the Nova's. With the twist you literally just turn the end of the battery. This increases voltage and produces more vape and flavour. Different juices are better at different voltages. Personally i would get the twist to start with and see how u get on. Its very simple to use and you cant really do anything wrong with it. If your juice starts to taste burnt the just turn it back down.

Would be the sensible upgrade if your worried, a great intro into Variable Voltage Lozzy but you might find you then want to upgrade again quickly.
What ever is best and comfortable for you really Lozzy.

Yeah I might give it a go, then maybe upgrade a month later lol, guess like you said would be good to get used the the variable voltage. Am I right in saying that the mini nova will be compatible and also the charger for my riva will work for the below? And is this the twist? www.vapeescape.co.uk/joyetech-ego-c-twist-vv~367

I know financially everyone's circumstances are different but the Twist isn't expensive at all, especially with not needing to buy anything else. As we know its always good to have a backup battery. Once you have used the twist the Riva batteries just wont cut it. So consider the twist and then when your situation allows, order the Vamo from the slow boat. You then have the best of both worlds.

Grab a plinth for your Mini Nova too if you have not got one, makes it look so much better on an ego/riva www.vapeescape.co.uk/dct-plinths~324 you want type b for a Mini Nova.

Yeah the plinths make it look classy. I have one for my Mini vivi's and one for the larger one.
