I got an aga t to go with the vammo but I cant get it to wick properly with silica. Im gonna get some mesh and give it another try. To be honest though my mini nova is brilliant on the vammo

I got a stainless steel vamo and an aga t for £30 on the classifieds on ukv

To get the silica to perform at its best, boil in distilled water twice and then soak in Vodka for 1 hour. Allow to dry naturally and then apply some gentle blue flame. Not only it gets rid of any impurities and loose fibres but it strengthens it as well as improving wicking.

Is this necessary ? I really like the look of Macca's silica U wick setup so once my Vamo/Aga arrive I'll be playing.

Couldn't find it on here, but here is Macca's guide he posted ok UKV. Todd has also done a video tutorial with his usual professionalism.

All credit to Macca, the silica wick washing wasn't a quote from him.
