I have dissected several cartos and they did NOT have the coil in the air tube.

The coil was wrapped in a heat resistant material and located in the wadding.

Not sure if there are other types where the air is heated and not the liquid but it seems unlikely?

I believe the reason for not getting liquid down the air tube is to reduce risk of damage to battery terminals etc.

not sure the ones i use and pulled apart were innoken they had wodding then the tube with the coil and wick passing through it just like most clearos hear is a pic best i can do not of one in bits as i threw that one
