He was released up the lane & I'd rather they take their chance out in the wild, than break their neck. Depends how far "up the lane" is But if you're happy that they might come straight back in, then that's your problem, not mine

Don't worry, Womble, I'm more than happy. I feed them up & have a good chat to them before release.

Don't bother with a cat, if it's owt like ours, it'll bring mice in & then release them!! We use humane traps, never kill them, so have our own catch & release programme going. In fact, one was released at just after midnight lastnight. Erm, you do know they come straight back in unless you release them about half a mile away (at least) and then they will probably just be killed by something else anyway, not knowing where they are. We also have a cat who brings them in and releases them. Also use humane traps and release them. If the cat is near the back door I let them out the front and vice versa. There is no problem with them coming back in ( unless he catches them again) . It was never their choice to come in in the first place. It was done against their will. I always know if we have one under the cooker or anywhere because Sooty stalks it to tell me.

I had a mouse in the kitchen behind my Fridge/Freezer, could I hell as get the little thing out.A week later I had 4 little ones peering at me from over the cooker,I just had to laugh because they looked like the hamsters I used to have. Then the amusement went out of it, in my cupboard were boxes of cereals, shredded! I got my dyson and went around all the tight spots and sucked the little buggers up, I also got the mum the same way. Now before you all start getting vermin friendly and berating me, I have to remind you that these things spread germs, fleas and s .. t everywhere, not what I want in my cooking area(or anywhere else). None seen any for 2 years now.

I suppose I'm lucky that I catch them as they arrive then. I'm suprised that he hasn't brought anything in for about 3 months now. They aren't here long enough to eat anything or make a nest.

We have one of them, not the same brand but the same type of device. Bought it a few years ago after we caught a mouse in the kitchen and haven't had any problems since.
