What a great read.
I can see the final decision becoming a *moment* in time when politicians have it within their grasp to vote for saving lives and promoting harm reduction OR bowing to pressure from the almighty £pound (or euro).
Which way will it fall? Anyone with any sense will see the logic in voting AGAINST the proposals. No sane person with an ounce of empathy or compassion could possibly wish MILLIONS of people to return to smoking. I guess we will find out whether altruism exists in politics, because if it does, there is ONLY ONE ANSWER.
Ignorance is no defence. MEPs that vote for "the ban" (dressed up as "sensible regulation", but only allowing 4mg/ml liquid) are therefore personally responsible for unnecessary premature deaths across Europe on scale which cannot be swept aside in the interests of fiscal survival.

Well in defence of MEP's, they can't know everything and have to take everything bought to them by their constituents as hearsay. They have to rely on facts and those facts have to come from decent organisations. They also can't do it all themselves, they have to rely on the party view and/or advice from advisor's. What we know, we can't impart to an MEP in ten minutes, nor ten hours, it takes time for this sort of thing to seep in. Personally, I don't believe that any number of people coming to them telling them how great ecigs are, will make any difference, but it may make them sit up and take notice of other information. (may ) What they need are facts and information from higher up sources. I think this may be one of them.

The things I like about it are, that it's written in a way everyone can understand, it covers the main problems, it does it in a quick and easy way. Anyone wanting to research ecigs after reading it, will have all the right things to go on. Hey, it's only a drop in the ocean and if the more experienced campaigners say something is wrong with it, I will go with them. But it looks good to me.
