This morning I sat here comtemplating my 50th birthday in 5 weeks time. I started off quite glum about it wondering where all those years went. I even took out a mirror and convinced myself my face wasn't that bad for my age.
Then, this afternoon, my little 5yr old grandaughter came over to watch Rapunzel movie with me. We had a lovely cuddle long cuddle on my chair. At the end of the movie I went to get myself a drink in the kitchen. She came running out there with a toy fairies wand. She said to me " Nanny, shall i turn you into a fairy princess with my wand?" Before I had a chance to answer she blurted out " Oh no, you cant be, you will just have to be an old one"

Out of the mouths of babes etc... one of my Grandsons came around with his Dad one day and said quite openly, and in front of me... "Dad, why is Grandad's house such a tip?"   Problem was, he was right! There are times when I need a woman... don't think I'll go any further with this reply.

Sometimes i wish we didn't lose that innocence when we grow up. The world would be a much funnier place, although there may well be a lot more bloody noses and black eyes flying about

I have one of those but couldnt get rid as i wouldnt be able to see well enough to put my make up on... i feel positively morose now. Eyes are shot too lol

BTW... one of my cats wouldnt be pleased as he likes to sit in front of it admiring how big and mean he looks

Nowt wrong with 50 dolly I turned 50 last week and I don't feel a day over 65 , ordered my zimmer off amazon and some go faster stripes off ebay
