Hi all,
I've been on the rebuild part of the forum and it's a different language. I just want to know what to buy to rebuild a kanger T3 base (I've watched some videos about how to rebuild them but the wicks seem to be odd).
I'm wary of getting something that is only specific to those bases because I suspect I like vaping so much I may buy something more advanced eventually. I also wonder about how good cotton wicks are. But asking on the rebuild forums seems a little, lets say, noobish...
On my shopping list I have : A-1 32 Kanthal wire 2mm Silica wick (I'm dubious about silica, so any suggestions that would replace that would be appreciated) Some cotton buds from boots to roll into flavour wicks
I also have a leccy's resistance meter, but I'm not sure how to take meter readings on the coils. I only use the meter for testing that the electrics on a house are safe, not the low resistance on a PV device.
Is this all I need ?
Any advice happily accepted.

Is that a replacement fo the actual wicks or just the flavour wicks that go over the top of the coil ?

Is that a replacement fo the actual wicks or just the flavour wicks that go over the top of the coil ? It's a replacement wick and it provides great flavour but it comes with a huge downside in that it burns very easily, it has to stay wet at all times. One dry hit will ruin it. Silica wick is what comes as standard in your T3 base so I can't understand your issues in replacing with the same ??? But in answer to your question, yes, a little wire/wick and a multimeter is all you need to rewick a T3. It would help to have a pair of small long nosed pliers or strong tweezers to help in replacing the positive terminal pin though as it's recessed into the base and fiddly to get to.

VERY wise not to dry burn a cotton wick. Cotton chars very easily and once it's charred then that's it, it will taste burnt from there on. Keep it very well soaked in juice though and it'll provide a superb clean flavour. Not an easy task in a kanger
