This is driving me nuts, can't listen to vids on the tube.
It was working fine then it just stopped. I have plugged in new speakers to no avail although they have been recognised by the PC . I have Realtek high def audio system.
Any clues?

Have you accidentally hit the mute button?

Open up Realtak, go to the audio tab & make sure it's not on 'headphone' setting.....Failing that, re-boot your pc.......

Also, right click on the little speaker icon in the bottom right hand corner of the task bar & open volume controls.....make sure the volume box isn't ticked where it says 'mute'

Chris cannot remember what the problem was, I just followed Chillax link and went through the motions with the Windows help check. Oh, yes I remember now. I had plugged the jack into the wrong socket
