Thanks tom, that's very good to know. So we just have to miss the 2nd Sat of a month and we should be fine.

If we go for a non music night so we don't get a band, what do you feel about the pub as a venue?

Venue was ok. Later times suits me better than 4pm.

As you would probably guess later = better for me also & Horseshoe = Great as we already know the place & vaping wont be an issue.

I think it was good, plenty of space, good tables, vaping no problem.

There probably are nicer venues, but whether we can find one with all of the above remains to be seen. I'm happy to look at any ideas anyone comes up with. The drinks weren't exactly cheap either, but I suppose the nicer the place, the more expensive it is.

Just to clarify, think from what a read, The Horseshoe has live music on the 4th Saturday too

Was nice to meet Womble and Bomber Harris, even if I couldn't hear them

I thought I saw a sign at the pub saying there was live music every Saturday! Maybe I got that mixed up. What did you think to the venue and as you are local, do you know anywhere that might be better?

I thought sans band, the venue itself was fine.

£3.50 for a london pride seems a bit steep, but i've paid more

Alternatives wise, i'm a life long pedestrian and tend to drink in dives, so my input maybe limited
