i think i killed my riva battery using one of these attached with juice to battery then it went a bit mad with flashing lights and all, bit of a disco to be honest. i put the battery in the charger which showed red. didnt charge. now its staying green but was red the first time. now if i press the button, it slow blue light then fast 3 blue lights then nothing. one thing i noticed was the connector was wet so cleaned this off but no joy. is there any way i could have got a tank full of juice down the battery under the connector? funny thing is, the t3 is fine on my ss riva !!

Do any of your atties work on the Riva Battery? Could be the centre pin needs lifting a little.

no, none work. tried a trusted vivi nova and nothing. its just weird cos lights flashing. got the battery upside now in case liquid still in there. luckily i have backups and am in the process of backing up my backups lol. i see what people mean now!
i've fiddled with the pin but this has a mind of its own

From what your'e battery did it sounds like a short - which may have killed the battery This could happen if the coil had moved to one side of the chamber and touches the side. If its one of the ones you've been posted it could have happened in transit. Do you have a multimeter? Although if it works on another battery then perhaps not... ???

Just to be safe - I would take off that head and not use it for now... Give your battery an hours or so charge no matter what the light is doing. Let it dry out today if there was lots of juice and give it a try later.

thanks i shall try that. i'll charge it when i am home so i can keep an eye on it in case it blows up. very scary, had a telephone plug and socket do that on me! should have taken up knitting i think ! which multi meter should i get?

its an electrical current testing device. you can test resistance - ohms of an atty. it is handy to do this if you are rebuilding as electrical batteries do not play well with resistances less than about 1.5ohms.

Sounds like the battery is unhappy to me If it was the centre pin problem it would just stop making contact with the Atty and not fire as far as I know. Hope it's ok and it gets sorted soon.

i think the battery is having a swim in juice ! had another one leak onto my brand new shiny spinner but saved it. i shall research a way of tightening the T3 up if i can. apparently its a common problem with these clearos
